If you are looking for a more cost-effective option for your pool installation, a vinyl pool might be the choice for you! To create a vinyl-lined pool, a frame is constructed of galvanized steel inside the hole's perimeter, then concrete is poured along the exterior walls of the pool for added support. A mixture of concrete and vermiculite is hand troweled along the bottom of the hole, and then a vinyl liner is secured to the structural wall. Construction can be completed in a comparatively smaller time-frame, usually within 4-6 weeks.
Vinyl pools have several other advantages. For instance, here in the South, we have periods in which the ground freezes. Vinyl's flexibility allows it to withstand the freeze/thaw cycle a little better. Additionally, vinyl's non-porous surface adds in a few specific benefits:
- Easy to clean
- Inhibits the growth of algae
- Requires fewer chemicals to maintain pH
- Natural insulation keeps the water 5-10 degrees warmer
While many pool companies will build a vinyl pool frame out of wood or plastic, Hot Springs' commitment to quality is evidenced by the fact that we only build Cardinal Premium vinyl pools constructed of sturdy galvanized steel with a transferable lifetime guarantee. These pools have the added benefit of the Merlin Liner Collection - a beautiful collection of premium-quality vinyl liners that come with an exclusivemanufacturer's warranty!
